United Way of Jackson County Volunteer Opportunities

CAMPAIGN:
Building our capacity to care

Help build a stronger Jackson County by raising the funds that make it possible to help all our neighbors in need.  Enjoy tremendous networking opportunities while developing your knowledge of the community.  Whether you are a retired lifetime resident or new to the community, you’ll find a chance to use your skills and meet new people when you volunteer with United Way.

Contact Beth Shafer at (517) 796-5119 to become part of our Campaign Team.

ENERGIZING EDUCATION:
Advancing reading skills of elementary students

In-school mentors’ primary job is to assist students in kindergarten through third grade in practicing their literacy skills, with the goal of reaching grade level milestones by the end of the year. Click here for more information.

Contact Lois Dunning at (517) 990-6072 ext. 282 to become a reading mentor.
