Who is and how can you help ALICE?

Who is ALICE?
ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed and represents the population of individuals and families who are working, but are unable to afford the basic necessities of housing, food, child care, health care and transportation. The United Way ALICE Report provides county-by-county and town-level data on the state of financial instability among households.  Generous support from the Consumers Energy Foundation made the report possible.

To help ALICE we need to talk about ALICE.  While ALICE has existed for some time, the ALICE Report provides a crucial starting point for understanding an discussing the issues and needs ALICE faces.
